    Most Webmasters and organizations in Africa host their websites with Internet service providers in their countries. The websites are registered with the country domain suffix Example .ZA for South Africa.

    Most of this websites have a very low page rank thus do not appear at the top on Google, Yahoo or any other search engine search result. What appears are usually websites with African content from North America which have a high page rank.

    I found a website that filters Google search result to only include websites hosted in Africa. And the good thing is, each African country has its own section . Check it http://www.tovutiafrica.com

    What type of websites or information are you after? Not all these sites will be in English but will be in the local languages of each country so not sure that you will be able to use?
