   You will have to go to the American Embassy in Cairo to determine whether they can issue a visa to your spouse. Otherwise, he will not be allowed to board a plane to the U.S.

   if you are American, so you can apply for him and it takes about a year to get the green card..but if you are permanent resident in USA, so it will take really long time (about 5 years or more)..so it depends on your status, plus of course what they will decide in the embassy
